So glad to find something fun that gets this 56 yr old body moving:). Stream hundreds of free workout videos and track them in one click. I can bend a lot easier if I need to pick something up. I just started today, buying the Zumba Fitness for the Wii. As long as you are dancing zumba and loving it and feel motivated that is the key to success. so far. Although I had already begun to notice a change in my measurements. I have been doing Zumba now for about 6 months, I have lost 40 pounds. I lost 6lbs and 2inches off my stomach so far. I just started Zumba Exhilarate on Saturday, the 11th of February. I never had much weight to lose, but the 7lbs apparently made a visual difference that everyone has admired and I feel great. I do the zumba with my wii it is just like going to class and I absolutely love it, the belt doesnt work so good with all the hip movements so I hold the remote in my hand to get credit for moving LOL I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I know its muscle but I am totally shocked not to have lost any weight at all. 2 Timothy 4:1-5. At first it was just 1x a week but now I do 2hrs on Mondays and andhour on Wednesdays. Ive been doing Zumba for 3 wks and eating righ,t and have lost 10lbs. That said, whenever I am on vacation I pick up extra classes because i can manage short bursts of extra classes. Sitting here right now all I can think about is getting home to do it again. I have had so much fun doing it that I have started to go to other classes at the gym too, like step and strength training classes. Fight The Good Fight, Keep The Faith, And Finish The Race. Katy. I am now using the food tracker and I do zumba 3 times a week. Starting a new session 2x a week, Tues and Weds, from Aug 2nd until December 15th. I am new to this website but I have been doin Zumba for about a month now and I love it. More important, my clothes fit much better and I am sure I have lost many more inches than pounds. I am not doing the amount of time that some of you are doing but I am working up a pretty good sweat at this point of only doing it a few weeks. If not for the injury I would Zumba daily, it is my happy place, but instead I swim and do water exercise for 6 hours a week. I worked through that and really got accountable for what I ate. Now that everything is clicking I feel like the weight is pouring off of me. I started Zumba classes about 6 weeks ago. And these real women with inspiring weight loss stories agree. No weight loss pills or weight loss drinks, all I did was Zumba. Never get tired of it at all, I cant wait to make it to the pro setting. We also have been doing WW. I have done Zumbathons that last 2 hours, and not taken a break. So. I have been going to Zumba for over a year. PIFFLED: Just wanted to let you know, that when I started working out consistently and eating healthier, it took me awhile to see a big change in the scale, however, I was dropping inches like a mad woman and my body composition changed, then the weight loss came with it later.


Not with P90x, not with Zumba, not with ST, walking or any combination of these. There is no judging in the class - we just have tons of fun together. The moment I took my first Zumba class, I was hooked. Zumba made me realize that I did care about myself and that I was worth the effort to be healthy. The first summer I was going about 4-5 times a week (Sunday-Saturday) sometimes multiple times a day (if it allowed). I personally do not enjoy working out alone. I went 1 x per week and just about died but totally LOVED it. Doing Zumba made every part of my life better. No matter what else is going on, Zumba is big fun and if you can do it, you should give it a whirl. I do Zumba at least 5 times a week and sometimes even twice a day. So my advice is to just keep at it and stop weighing yourself for a while. But now, thanks to Zumba, not only has my body been changed, but my mind, life, and entire outlook on fitness has improved. When I finally weighed myself last week I had lost about 6 lbs (I am not very overweight, I only need to lose about 10-15 lbs. I am beginning to see a difference in my body. You never know how far you can go, if you never start the journey. Always, always, always wear the right shoe for the exercise you are performing. My DD and I started doing zumba about one month ago. I wear my heart rate watch during my 60 minutes Zumba classes, and I was burning between 900-1050 calories a class. Win a trip for 2 on the official Zumba Cruise. Zumba is doing that for me and I never want to stop:-) Congrats to everyone on their success. several weeks in and by adding Zumba to my running and strength training rotation I am finally seeing results in my thighs. My marriage has been healthier too, and now my family is into staying fit, especially my children (Zumba instructors in the making). I decided at that time to stop weighing myself for a while and just enjoy the fantastic workout that zumba gives. I have lost 10 pounds in 2 months with Zumba and eating better. Speaking from experience it makes ALL the difference in being able to workout longer and pain free. (this is my 3rd week completed) havent noticed any weight or inches coming off but I will not stop. I am trying to master the footwork of the 20 minute workout, have tried the flat abs and cardio party ones and they are all fun and really boost self esteem. I gradually added more classes but then had an injury- plantar fascitis- that really hurt me. Today is day 3 (would have been day 4 but I was so sore after the first day since I started with the toning section). Now I do that as well as zumba 4-5 x per week. This week we did Zumba, Irish jig, country and some rap music to Zumba moves. I used to be a professional at avoiding the camera. It was ok to leave my kids and go exercise. I have been working out and exercising for over 10 years and have taken all classes from pilates to kickboxing at all local gyms and working out at the comfort of your home where you know you can move and not worry about anyone staring at you and really get a work out is certainly a good way to go. My super-tight-fancy jeans are actually not so super-tight, and much more comfortable to be in. My nephew is getting married in May and I hope to have lost 20lbs by then. Everyone says the classes are better i say this. If I can average 10lbs a month I will be happy. LOL--in our class, the instructor changes the class up pretty often, so really, no one has time to be watching or judging anyone else--all eyes are on the instructor.
